Title: Firmware IN_1.08 2750U Region: India
Post by: saeansar on March 12, 2014, 01:55:38 AM
Hello Folks,

Let me open the topic by gutting out my frustration "D-Link, you suck at customer support"

Now, can anyone please provide me IN_1.08 firmware which came with stock router.
Those fricking jimmies at customer service made me ROLLBACK(sic), under pretense of  upgrade.
Now I am standing looking stpid. why didn't I check the file name :(

Please please get me IN_1.08 for hardware U1.

Thanks

We recommend that you first phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask them which version of FW to use for updating DSL modems and confirm model Rev and FW versions to avoid any possible bad FW updates and bricking modems.

My router performance has gone down, not trainig DSL to full strength.
And I was deceived with old firmware by Customer care guys who sent me older FW alleging it to be latest but I, trusting Dlink, hit upgrae button, now it's useless calling them to give me 1.08.
Thats why i am here.

Thanks

We don't have access to those resources here and you'd need to refer to the main web site for your region to see if it's available there...or contact your regional D-Link support office.

You could try this:
http://www.dlinkmea.com/site/index.php/site/productDetails/232 (http://www.dlinkmea.com/site/index.php/site/productDetails/232)

I recommend asking for an RMA for the modem if updating fails...If you choose to update, please follow this:
FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)

Good Luck.

I compiled the D-Link 2750u U1 Version 1.08 (RTL8676 Chip)  for India using the open source Dlink has put on the Taiwan site.
I am not sure if I can put it here for everyone to use.

3rd party compiled FW is not supported or allowed here in the FW forums.

I would recommend you make a new post about the problems your having with the modem and see if maybe we can find out the problem.
It also maybe time for a new modem as well. Find something newer that is officially supported by FW and by the Mfr.
