DNR-202L Keeps Dropping DCS-932L Cameras

My DNR-202L is set for motion detected recording with two DCS-932L cameras. The DNR is connected to the home router, which is being used exclusively for the DNR. The problem is that the DNR-202L stops recording after 3 days. This isn't a space issue - it's hooked up to a hard drive - it just stops recording and loses connection to the cameras.

Seeing as I monitor this location remotely, getting back to the location to run the wizard again is fairly difficult, thus leaving a gap in coverage. Is there any way to reconnect the cameras remotely? Or, is there any way to keep them from dropping in the first place?

What is the Mfr of the main host router?
What is the distance between the main host router and the cameras?
I recommend setting a static IP address on the cameras and DNR, 192.168.#.92 and .93 for the cameras and 192.168.#.20 for the DNR.

What version versions are on the cameras and DNR?

to answer your questions,

1. YES, if you have access to the DNR-202L via a remote connection,  you can run the camera discovery function from a remote location.
2. YES, there is a way to keep them from dropping, but first you will need to identify the reason why this is happening.

Now, in order for us to help you, we are gonna need a few more details. Based on the information you have provided here is what I think we need:

1. Make and model of the router you are connecting this camera network (Entry level routers may not have the necessary network performance to handle constant streaming of a large number of cameras in the network, this will be more evident if the cameras are connected via the wireless interface)

2. Number of cameras being use (Model, hardware version and firmware version included)

3. How are the cameras connected to the network (wire or wireless). This matters because, if the cameras are the devices dropping off the network, it will explained why the DNR is dumping its list of recordable devices and the need to come back to add them. 

4. Make, model,  size and USB interface (2.0 or 3.0) connected to the DNR.

5. DNR hardware version and firmware version

6. Are there any other cameras models that are not dropping?

I know we have more questions than answers at this time, but we are trying to understand your problem to better assist you.
