Please help.
I have two 2630L. Very nice camera. All is fine if the camera is viewed in a browser or with the mydlink app (iPad and Android). However, the program used to view all the cameras at once on one screen on my Mac laptop is having a problem with the video streams from only the 2630L, not my other dlink cameras. The OSD and picture "stutters", even through there is no packet loss according to the software. There is often a green screen initially. Have changed settings in the camera without benefit, but it isn't obvious what should be changed.
Contacted tech support for the software, and the suggestions were:
1. adjust any setting related to H.264 compression in the camera's settings pages. If it offers VBR vs CBR, try changing this.
QUESTION: Can the H.264 compression be changed? Where?
2. change the bit rate. If it offers a "profile" option, try changing this (try "baseline").
QUESTION: Where to change the bit rate?
3. If the above two cannot be done or don't help, then the H.264 stream produced by these cameras is not compatible with Mac. The only option then would be to use the JPEG stream.
QUESTIONS: Is the H.264 stream not compatible with my Mac? The video in a browser and on mydlink app looks fine. Has anyone here used a jpeg stream? What's the advantage and disadvantage of a jpeg stream?
