I believe I got v3.6.4 to install on Windows 10.
However to get it installed, I had to log into the Admin account on Windows 10 since Windows 10 changed my prior user account privledges from Admin to Standard after I upgraded from 7x64 and I can't figure out how to change it back. Windows 10 seems to prevent users from being Admin. I'm hoping for some information to be posted online somewhere about this. I reloaded my saved windows 7 image on different partition so I have both 7 and 10 on my PC.

I finally got it working on my Windows 10 Pro,  using the method below.  I tried all the methods above, without success.  Uninstalled everything and started from scratch.

1/ Go in to your "User Account Control Settings"  or UAC and lower the notification bar to "Never Notify".  Save and Reboot

2/ Install D-ViewCam - I used v.3.5.  A newer version was not tested but might work.  I think newest is 3.6?

**On my Windows 10 machine, when I tried to install it, I received the error in a Big Red Box - "This app has been blocked for your protection"

3/ I followed the instructions here to be able to install D-ViewCam:

https://www.wiknix.com/solved-this-app-has-been-blocked-for-your-protection/

**Be sure to read through this whole post and remove the "admin" account when you are done!

4/ After intalling D-VewCam from the Admin Login noted in #3, Log back in to your primary user account and go find the "MainConsole" Application in the folder:

\Program Files (x86)\D-Link\D-ViewCam    and paste a shortcut of the "MainConsole" to your desktop.

****  I had issues when I put the UAC back to normal!!  So, for this application/computer, I'm keeping the UAC at it's lowest level.  Bummer, but at least it works.

Use at your own risk and if you don't know what you're doing or don't understand the above, don't do it.

I haven't tried this, yet, and will try later.  If it does work, someone let this "thread" know :-)     Thanks!

EDIT #2:  GO TO THIS POST:

Thanks for the information.
As posted I got v3.6.4 to install in my Windows 10 PC, just had to log into admin account as my user account was no longer set for admin rights and is now Standard and I can't get it back. However it installed for me and works with my DCS-933L.

Let us know if the newer version works for you.

Just finished 4 hours of working on this issue...
After first time install of 3.6.3 of ViewCam (not an update), the "The program will be restarted to apply a new setting" message keeps appearing and restarting the MainConsole application at every startup.   In the licerr.log, error "Trial Information Is Missing" being registered for every MainConsole startup.
Please ensure that your issue matches mine, as the "program will be restarted" issue seems to have multiple flavours.

Issue came with installing ViewCam 3.6.3 on Windows 7 Professional SP1 from the following install files: D-ViewCam_sw_revB1_3-6-3_plus_device_pack_1-6-1_all_eu_20141021 and
9394-D-ViewCam_V3.6.3_DP_V1.6.2_20141007  (both had the problem)
No errors or issues reported during any of the installs, except that the first advised about the UAC requirement.

Actions tried:
Setting UAC to off (for the install and for running MainConsole)
Different compatibility settings:  all fix pack versions of XP; all of Vista versions.
Running executables as administrator (the install itself and MainConsole).
Dozens of clean installs with reboots in between, including doing fresh installs with compatibility settings for the installations themselves.
Doing registry cleans in between each install to remove remnants of Dlink and viewcam.

Resolution:
Issue was resolved by doing a clean install (just like the previous dozens that didn't help) but using an old version of ViewCam (3.3).  The install file is still available online at http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008detailgo.asp
Download file is called D-ViewCam_v3.3 DP_v1.4.3.1_20120719.zip
UAC is still off.
No compatibility settings on the install or on the MainConsole.
Still running on a Windows admin level id but not using the "run as administrator" option.

Have you tried v.3.6.4 yet?

The issue i'm seeing wtih installation with a user account is that my PC was upgraded from windows 7 and installed 10 on top of it. So there maybe some differences between this environment and a clean windows 10 installation.

D-View CAM software has always had a requirement to turn off UAC due to software structure, unfortunately that never changed. The idea behind this free software is to have a dedicated PC that is use for no other tasks but local recording.

The new version 3.6.4 solves the signed certificate validation issue. This issue is the one that causes the certificate revocation error message at installation, if already installed, at the application launch for normal use on prior versions of the software under a Windows OS. This new version also has additional support for new cameras models.

Hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

I spent 2 days trying to figure this out, and finally found a solution. I had to delete the program from my downloads section, delete ALL the temp files, then delete the dview cam from my registry. make sure user account control is OFF. restart your computer, reinstall the program, right click on the icon and run as administrator. It seems like kind of a pain, but it only takes about 10 mins. Try it, it worked for me!

Glad you got it working. Hope this might help future users who might need it. Normal program removal should be used then installation of the newer version should take place with out issues.

Enjoy.

Had this issue on Windows 10 build 10586.63. I first installed D-ViewCam 3.6 from http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-933L. I probably should've rebooted when the installer recommended it (as it disabled UAC). Instead, I simply tried to launch the main console. Didn't work.

Completely removed D-ViewCam 3.6, including a few basic registry keys related to it, followed by installing version 4.0.4 (which I haven't seen many people talk about) from http://www.dlink.com/xk/sq/support/product/dcs-100-dviewcam. All is well.

FWIW, versus 3.6, I'm still surprised to see 4.0.4 restrict the number of playback streams for recorded video to just one, despite the recording viewed appearing to support more than one angle at a time.
