Connection Speed
« on: May 15, 2009, 10:19:03 PM »

I received a DWA-642 and DIR-625 as a gift.  For some reason I can't get 11n speed when using the DWA-642 notebook adapter.  I have a 11g only print server so I have the DIR-625 set to mixed 11b, 11g, 11n mode but when I change to 11n only (to test), I can't get a connection with the DWA-642 adaptor at all.  I'm running XP on the machine using the 642 adapter but another computer with an internal wireless card and running Vista is getting 11n speeds and the connection remains when I revise the router to 11n only.
Is there a setting I'm missing?  'd like to utilized 11n with the notebook adapter.
Please help...much appreciated.

PS - I read "Topic: 300Mbps Connection Requirements! Please Read!"  and I have followed the settings listed in that post.
