Title: Need firmware download not obtainable anywhere!!!!!!!
Post by: NiteSite on May 20, 2015, 08:24:22 AM
http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-825L

has the following:

Type Date
Firmware Release Notes (1.04.4026)    09/04/14 Download
Quick Install Guide (1.30)    12/22/14 Download
User Manual (1.00)   01/31/14 Download
Datasheet (05.2013)   02/03/14 Download
Lullaby Installation Instructions (10.16.14)   10/16/14 Download

NO info on where to download an actual firmware. I have searched and searched. I would like to upgrade to 1.04 as it seems to be the latest stable upgrade.

Checked the ftp as well: ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/PRODUCTS/DCS-825L/REVA/

It also ONLY lists pdf files. There are NO links to firmware on the download pages at all.

I have visited the download page on 2 different browsers with the same results

Have you tried accessing the cameras web page to see if there is a FW update checker there?  ???

Are you experiencing problems with your camera? It's not recommended to update FW if your not experiencing problems.  :-\

The webpage give a link to the website I posted no firmware checker. The time is 1 hour off (cant find anywhere to change time zone or DST) but in the menu is synced correctly with the device. The camera goes from day to night mode when the sun is still out and does not switch to day mode until about 11am (10am its time). So yeah I am having issues with it.

Ok, I forgot and was told that for these cameras with out a UI, you can check and apply FW udpates via the mobile app. Review the PDF in the download link for futher information regarding FW updates.

It's recommended to not load regional FW on units located out side of other regions. New procedures now use the mobile app to update baby cams when needed and available. Please do not post links to non-official D-Link FW sources. Thank you.

The D-Link website shows http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-825L shows there is an update. The apps both iPhone and Android devices don't show that there is an update.

Now the camera has a Pink hue on the video during daytime and is EXTREMELY delayed when transmitting video.

I have reset the unit and reconfigured it with the same issue remaining.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I also noticed the pink hue you mentioned too on my DCS-825L!! The motion/sound detection are either too sensitive (keeps recording) or not at all (records nothing). Reset and reconfigure does not help. Hopeless with this camera now.

hi
I done this with the fw 1.03 to set it up via the .... /eng/mainFrame_debug.cgi?nav=Status# under the setup

sound

motion ... cant set up the motion area

so I use the mydlink.com to select the motion area

it works not perfect ... but it works for what I need it.
