Browers, Java, DNR video - beyond frustrating
« on: June 29, 2017, 12:36:42 PM »

I am again at wits end (again...seems to happen every year or so).  I have two 64 bit computers... no browers work (since March, at least).  IE11 - runtime errors (tried multiple fixes), Safari (old copy), FireFox (v.59), Chrome.  I tried loading a 32 bit copy of FF v. 57, no luck.  It's more frustrating because there was a potential arson at the end of my street overnight and I cannot access any videos the fire/police have requested.  Is there any hope D-Link will find a consumer-friendly solution or should I take my $2000 losses for the system I'm running?

IE11 should work with out any problems. Try compatibility mode in IE11. Or use the 32bit version of IE11.

I would try the ESR version of FF:

I see you were using FF v47 before:

Try the IE as administrator to start and the DNR. If it works, you can use the IE against all start normally.

Does yours work with IE?

OP here...  I was never able to get a compatible browser to access my DNR-322 over my home network (to access video from D-Link cameras) due to the Java issue.  I am able to view through mydlink.

My most important issue though is not being able to save a video from the 322 to my PC.  I can view playback video through mydlink, but see no way to download a portion.  I can take a snapshot, but this is not helpful.  Recently, there was a suspicious fire at a neighbor's home.  The fire arson investigators wanted to obtain some video, but there is not an option to save/download a video clip.  Any clues?

Head over to dlink support web pages and see if HDD viewer is avaliable for your 322l. I've never used it, I don't know if it can export.

The ESR version of FF should work. I believe x32 ESR version of FF with Java x32 should work. You also need to input the IP address of the DNR in Java's exceptions list as well.

Thank you FuzzyNutz!  The 32bit version of FF ESR works on my 64bit Win 7 PC.

Enjoy. Keep a x32 ESR/Java version on hand.

Back to square one...being able to use FF ESR 52 (32 bit) to view my D-Link camera recordings on my DNR-322L, it no longer works.  Java will not load.  I tried FF ESR 52.9.0 (did not work), loaded D-ViewCam software (it will not load Java).  My DNR-322L is version A hardware so it is not the newest version like version B.  Does anyone have any ideas.  (My neighbors pickup was hit last night and I cannot access video to see what was captured.)

Thank you.

Attempted IE11(32bit) and FF ESR 52 & 51... all are revoking the certificate for Java and not allowing it to run.

What platform of java are you using? x32 or x64? x32 seems to be more forgiving. Also be sure to enter the DNRs IP address into java's security exceptions list as well...

x32 Java

Is FF ESR 52 still an option, or do I need to go back to ESR 51

(I do have all cameras and the 322L IP addresses listed in the exception list.)
