When I come in from outside the home network, the userid/password request comes up, then the video camera web page shows (with buttons for configuration, etc.).  But, the page can't connect to the video stream for some reason.

It seemed to me I was able to access it last night when I first set it up, but I'm not sure.  I can access it from the home network with no problem.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks

What ports did you forward when creating any port forwarding rules?

I set-up "Virtual Server" for port 80 with TCP protocol.  I checked the camera and it is set to use port 80.

Opening ports 554 and 5556-5559 for TCP and UDP as well.

I am having the same issue with DCS-6620G IP web cams, I can not access them remotely over the internet as the response to my IE http://host.dynamicdomainname:port is "Protected Object," or "Authorization Required."  The box to input the user name and password credentials, which open when using the cameras locally on my LAN, does not appear when I attempt remote access.

Each camera has its own HTTP port (81 and 82) forwraded to its own internal static IP, behind my router.

When I take the passwords off of the camera's internal  web server they appear remotely, when the dynamic host name and port are input in the IE open line.

Could any one suggest how to correctly enter the html commands, to remotely access the login box to input the user name and password?

Thank you.
