Title: Steam?
Post by: FuriaRi0T on October 04, 2008, 09:56:11 AM
Is the main reason STEAM isn't populating servers on the client side caused by the port-forwarding issues? Or has someone found a way to get around it?

Sometimes, as I've read, I can get servers to populate. But then they time-out as I'm trying to connect. Anyone have a definite way to get around this for now? (i.e. downgrading to a specific firmware, etc...?)

I deleted all of my port-forwarding rules, and it's working fine now... As I posted earlier, it appears as if the port-forwarding isn't actually forwarding, rather blocking those ports.  ???

I removed the port forwarding under special applications and instead went to gamefuel and created new rules for steam for my pc.  This works and I think this is how I'm going to keep it.  Takes more time but allows you more leeway.
