Title: Video recording creates only very short files
Post by: avhoboken on June 24, 2017, 12:29:58 PM
Hi,

I've set-up recording and no matter what I try, it will only generate 6 second videos (about 2.5K) or 11 second when I lower the resolution to 1280x720.
I tried with the settings 'max filesize for recording = 50MB' and also the other option to set the time for recording, set this to 60 seconds. Doesn't work, it just generates very small files.

Anyone idea how to solve this?
I'm running the latest firmware, 1.00.06

What type of recording?  SD? FTP? NAS shared folder?

Recording is set to a NAS device.
I now also noticed that it only records half of the time, while recording is set to continous. So for example I have a recording starting at 13.00.00 which last 1 seconds. The next recording starts at 13.00.26. So I miss half the reordings.

I have reset the device already once but that doesn't help.

Any suggestions  what to try?

my very old DCS-2123L can do 50MB files.  I got this as a upgrade but it is worse and this is supposed to be a business model.  Very dissapointing
