This FAQ describes how to create a ShareCenter network share on a Mac.
Creating a Network Share for a ShareCenter Volume on a Mac
- Press Command+K and the Connect to Server window will open
- Enter smb://[SHARECENTER_IP_ADDRESS]/Volume_1 where [SHARECENTER_IP_ADDRESS] is replaced with the IP address of the D-Link ShareCenter (e.g smb://192.168.0.3/Volume_1, smb://192.168.0.3/Volume_1/Data_Folder, etc.)
- Press Connect
- The newly mounted HDD should appear on the Mac desktop and Finder window
Automatically Connecting a ShareCenter Network Share After a Mac Reboot
- Complete the preceding procedure to map the ShareCenter volume network
- Click on the Apple Menu and open the System Preferences
- Click Users and Groups
- Click Login Items
- Click the + button next to the ShareCenter network share
- Select the ShareCenter volume and click the Add button
- Close the System Preferences
- The ShareCenter volume will automatically connect following a Mac reboot
Create a Network Share Shortcut on the Mac Desktop
- Press Command+ to open the Finder Preferences
- Click the General tab
- Select the Connected Servers checkbox
- Close Finder Preferences
- The ShareCenter network share will appear as a clickable icon on the Mac desktop
