Hi guys, newbie here.

I have a strange problem.

I have custom firmware installed on this router and everything is fine, signal strenth is 'excellent' ...BUT the internet on my laptop and also on my iphone keeps dropping out maybe once every two minutes. Its so annoying! Is there anything that can be done to solve this?

Yes mate, sorry, I was using short-hand for custom firmware! Yes, it's the DD-WRT firmware.

I'll go ahead and assume you're speaking about a DIR-615 model router. What hardware version/revision is it? Look on the sticker on the back of the router for the "H/W Ver." value.

I assume you meant April last year. That's quite a long time ago. There were many DD-WRT builds released since then. Let me know the hardware revision and i'll give you a link to the latest .bin file to use for an update from the interface.

Hi mate, it actually seems newer.... my fw when I log in to my router reads - '' DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/12/10) std''

Ok. That's 12 June, still quite old. You still haven't answered my question about the hardware version/revision of the router.
