RAID1 with 4 drives
« on: March 26, 2010, 01:35:35 AM »

Is it possible to create a RAID1 volume with 4 x 2TB drives so I have 4TB RAID1? and ofcourse if 1 drive fails what happens there? I'm thinking now this can not be done?

no raid1 is only meant for 2 drives. however I have read that the dns-343 will set up 2 separate raid1s. what you are looking for is a raid 1+0 or 0+1 which the dns-343 doesn't support.
