Yes, that's exactly how it is supposed to work: the first device connected to the router will get redirected to the hotel login page, and after entering credentials all devices will be able to share one login.

I can confirm hat it works this way BUT for me just the first connect. If the Hotel / Ressort cuts the connection after a while (To avoid long downloads maybe) the reconnect does not work, even if I reconnect the client in the local WLAN. I have  to  switch the router off and on again. Then  I am back to the desired mode.

Maybe something special here in Europe.

After getting connected to the hotspot I can't get access to the shared USB device anymore or to the admin login. Works as designed?

No intention to  implement a web login capability out of the admin interface?

Georg

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.

Try accessing the routers web page at 192.168.0.50 while in hotspot mode...Review the User Manual to see if there is other configurations for accessing the web page for each mode...
