Title: How do I setup Multi-SSID with VLANs on my Busines class Access Point
Post by: KiltedShane on August 15, 2014, 11:27:23 AM
Since that is the title of the non-functional FAQ topic, I thought it would work for me.

I am trying to set up Multi-SSID with VLANs on 9 D-Link DAP-2590.  They are all H/W Ver A2 and F.W ver 1.25

I have 3 VLANs.
1 WLAN:  for management of the WAPs
128 Clients:  Internal network for clients
254 Guest:  External network for customers

I have 4 SSIDs
Primary WPA-Enterprise with RADIUS:  for Windows clients with corporate certs
SSID 1 Guest with WPA2-Auto-Personal:  for guest internet
SSID 2 wireless WPA2-Auto-Personal:  for legacy internal hardware without certs
SSID 3 Guest2 Open:  legacy guest internet

I have
1 WLAN:  Mgmt, LAN untaged
128 Clients: Primary, S-2 Untagged; LAN tagged
254 Guest: S-1, S-3 Untagged; LAN tagged

On my switch I have
WLAN untagged
128 Clients Tagged
254 Guest Tagged

At the moment, Clients can connect to my primary and my S-1 but they do not get IP addresses if they try to connect to S-2 or S-3.

Is there any useful information with in the User Manual by chance? If not, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
