my DNR-202L is only recording a week of video
« on: February 13, 2017, 08:26:17 PM »

I have a 1TB HD attached to the 202L.

Up until recently it would record video and there will be over a month worth of video saved on the HD before it wrote over the old video. Now I only get a week before it records over the old video. It seems that it fills the whole HD with video.

Nothing has changed. I have 3 cameras attached.

What am I missing?

Probably nothing.

Without knowing what cameras and what resolution/encoding you are using, it is impossible to guess.

I get about 1 month with 4 720p/30fps/High Quality cameras on 4TB.  So "1 week" on "3 cameras" of unknown quality would sound about right in my situation.

I have a DCS-932L, DCS-5020 and a DCS-5222LB1. They are all recording in the highest quality and all the time. But I used to get about 30 days with them. :-(
