DIR-130 I changed password and now I`m locked out
« on: May 04, 2013, 08:36:26 AM »

We`ve this DIR-130 on our network for a few years. We are upgrading our administrative and sales workstations. I logged on to our DIR-130 and found many changes had taken place without my credentials. First thing, change User and Password. No problem there, I put in the new username to replace the old one with and changed the password and even had to confirm it. Clicked ok and went to log back in and now I`m locked out. It has very specific port forwarding and incoming connections. I can`t just take down our network for days trying to get everything running again. How do I find what the incoming and outgoing IP `s and ports? I`m purchasing a replacement DIR-130 but need to find this information so that I can replicate these settings on the new one. Please help?

Is there a Saved Configuration file that was generated from the 130?

If not, then theres no way we can gain access to the routers web page. Did you try leaving the PW blank and try to log in? Sometimes the PW can default to just being plank.

The only way to gain access if the PW is lost is to Factory Reset the router and this will erase all configurations.

I recommend when working with any D-Link router that IE or FF browsers are used. Chrome has been known to cause problems.

Good Luck.

I thought so. I use IE for all my secure sites. Is there a way to see what IP and Ports this unit is allowing in? I`ve done a port scan on the IP range and I have that. I have all the IP`s that we use and I have our ISP`s static they have assigned us. We also have an AS/400 on our network and I have it`s IP, Subnet, DNS and  Gateway. Our ISP is Cox Business and I can get the ports they assigned as well. Is there anything else I would need? I also have the port forwarding settings to workstations as well. As I said in my post "I`m getting another one and rebuilding it and testing it until it`s running like it should". I wasn`t involved with the IT Administrator that set this up and we know that he didn`t adhere to any common setup at all. I`m just trying to get all I can get from the existing setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And thanks for your fast response.
