Title: Multiple "evt_#####_######" emails for every motion picture email???
Post by: taymag on October 13, 2015, 06:19:26 PM
I get anywhere between 3-6 emails that say "evt_######_#####" for every one picture motion email. I know I've seen someone have this problem before I just cant find the thread...

Anyone know why?

I found something that makes sense but didn't really test it yet. Changing the interval to a longer time is what I saw someone say. They said if the event (sending motion snaps) doesn't process before the next event is triggered it sends just a .log file to at least tell you something was detected but couldn't process yet. So "something better than nothing". But even the interval set at 3 and waiting 10 seconds it still sends a .log file so not sure. I may test it later with some different things is I get a chance

This happens to me as well.  I've always wondered why I even get logs at all.  The only place I see to enable logs is in SETUP > Event Setup > Media, and I don't have System Log set up there.  I write to a NAS... I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

What happens if you disable email notifications temporarily. Do you still get these particular emails?

What happens if you don't WRITE to NAS, do you still get emails?

Sorry, I don't get the logs emailed to me.  They are sent via FTP to my NAS along with a video whenever motion is detected.  Sometimes I get just the video, sometimes I get just a log, sometimes I get both.  Usually I get just the video, but I get a lot of logs as well.  I set it up to send me a video, not a log.

You might phone contact D-link support and ask them about this and what the expected behavior should be.

Let us know if you get any information.
