dgl-4500 vs wndr3700
« on: November 26, 2009, 01:05:29 AM »

which one would be better for xbox live if u have 3 computers(one desktop 2 laptops) a ipod touch and iphone all connected to the same router. i have the dgl-4500 but a lot of people say that the wndr3700 would be better. in the description of the two the dgl-4500 has 1000mpbs and the wndr3700 only has 600. would that mean that the dgl-4500 would be better if you have more devices connected to it? so which one would be better for gaming???

I have the DGL4500 hardware version A2 with firmware 1.21B3.  I have 2 wired Macs, 1 wireless mac, 1 wireless XP PC, 2 wired DVRs, 2 wired XBOX 360, 2 wireless PSPs and 2 iphones connected to the DGL4500.  So far so good.  My ISP is RoadRunner and my speeds are 1 mbps upstream and 20 mbps downstream.

Last night my sons fired both 360's and played on xbox live while I watched the live stream of the KISS concert.  I did not notice a single video hiccup and my kids never dropped their live connection.
