Help with internet speed
« on: January 26, 2010, 04:10:31 PM »

I have a DGL-4500 connected to an ATT DSL modem (2wire2700).  Prior to installing the router, I was getting speeds of 6Mbps down/.6Mbps up (using speednet).  To install the DGL-4500, I changed the 2wire modem to bridge mode.  It appears to be correct since I can get an internet connection.  After installing the DGL-4500 I now get a maximum speed of about 1.3Mbps down/.6Mbps up.  I installed the 1.22b02 beta software hoping it would fix the problem.  Any suggestions on what I should look at to determine the problem.  Thanks in advance.

GO thru my Gaming and Game Fuel instructions, you don't have to use the Gaming or Gamefuel settings however there are some additional settings for ensuring the 4500 is setup well and getting speeds it should be. Check the setting for Dynamic DNS. Seems there was another guy on here that disabling this helped him get the speeds going well. Let us know how it goes.
