Thank you for the suggestion.  I have used the D-Link CD on a Windows machine to connect and reconfigure the problem unit.  Since the unit is a test machine I tried the reformat function again to see if it would fail a second time.  It did and I received the same error message.  Fortunately I had fewer problems reconnecting to the system.

With the previous beta, people had problems trying to format their Advanced Format Drives using ext2, it got to a certain percentage (13% I think, not sure) then stopped. The solution was to use ext3 instead.

After doing eight reformatting operations to the system running 1.10b6 and two WD10EARS drives, I do NOT encounter problems if I am using Firefox 3.6 under OS X 10.6.6.  When using Safari 5.0.4 the completion percentage does not display, usually on the second time I format the disks.  I doubt that few users will do this but it appears to be the reason for the failure I previously reported.

As you can imagine this is quite worrying for the disks, OTHER users have also noticed drives exceeding 44 degrees with no FANs ON, (C1 revisions models only)

>>>> Can DLINK SUPPORT PLEASE! help us C1 people with this, as I believe fan settings on C1 appear to either be set too low before they come on!!!!!!! <<<<

I think they should make a better fan function all together, with SMART readouts and possibility to control fans by user. Made a proposal here --> http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=37999.msg124816#msg124816

As I recall, that error can be caused by having FFP on your system. If it is, disable it temporarily (rename) and try again.

I installed 1.10 rev 6 on a 323 that I reverted back to 1.09 (from 1.10 rev 5), a couple of weeks ago.  As in rev 5 the printing function goes bye-bye.  To get it back I had to reset the box to defaults and delete / reconnect to the printer.  Not a big deal but annoying and time consuming.

A new issue I'm noticing is that about 30 minutes in to a video the connection to the server terminates with a message "you have become disconnected from the default media server".  I'm streaming the video to a DSM-520.  I've played this video before under firmware 1.09 with no issues.  I've got two other 323's with 1.10 rev 5 and verified this issue exists with 1.10 rev 5 as well.

My testing of the Tools/Time function leads me to believe that it was better implemented under F/W 1.09.  Yes, 1.09 functioned differently than than 1.08, but if you enabled daylight savings and set the DST start and end dates, the system seems to keep/display a fairly accurate time.  F/W 1.10b5 and 6 functioned more like 1.08 and the reported time was generally incorrect when I checked it.
