Here is my current firmware info
Current Firmware Version:   1.20, Wed 27 Sep 2017
Current Firmware Date:   2017-09-27 15:40:00

I had gone over to DD-WRT to see if I liked it for the DIR-890L,  I did not.  Couldn't get the same DL/UL that I got with the D-Link factory firmware
I loaded the bootloader holding in the reset button for 30 seconds then I picked DIR-890L_REVA_FIRMWARE_1.10.B07.bin  it then told me of an update once the router came back up. went to a 1.11 version and then it went to the version listed above.  After each reboot from FW update I would log in and it said new FW and take me to the update page where all I had to do was hit upgrade.

If the router auto-updated to the version above, is this the same v120b01 that says you need v111b04 installed first?  If that is the case then autocheck for new FW works, as mine went through 4 updates before it stopped.
