Title: playback error on Dlink view app
Post by: fiveseven15 on August 18, 2016, 07:02:03 PM
have a DNR-202L that had recording problems for a while.  finally got it fixed (not sure exactly why it wasnt even working to begin with) but it works now, and i can watch recorded data from the web interface of the DNR-202L.

i cannot watch it from multiple devices though (all iphones or ipads) it always says 'error there is no recorded data available for playback based on your selection'  also, the time interval when i am in the menu to select playback is red.  all of the time interval options are red

i can go into the web interface, and select the same time and play back no problem, but i cannot see any recorded data through the app.  i've already tried updating firmware, restarting the DNR, restarting the router, assigning a new IP to the DNR.

are there any solutions? for something that is supposed to be easy to use, this whole dlink camera setup is a pain to deal with.  it is always something with this setup

I don't understand? The link goes to a thread about firmware updating.  I've already updated the FW on the DNR202L, the issue I am having is with the dlink view app.  It won't play back anything, but there are recordings that will play back through the dnr202l web interface.

Nope.  Should've figured this setup would be unusable junk. Should have spent the effort with a conventional wired system.  With all of the time and effort I've wasted on dlink cameras, I could've just run wires everywhere and have a system that works with much less effort

Their cameras are garbage, don't work half the time, and dlink wants you to pay for support for their half-a$$ed product.

The Mydlink Lite and Mydlink View app both with my DNR-202L and DCS-933L on my iphone 6sP and iPad. iOS 9.3.2 on iPhone and 9.3.5 on iPad.

One thing i noticed is that you have to make sure the date and both upper and lower values are in RED. If either upper or lower value is not in red, you'll get a play back error message. I just tried it on my iPhone, i get play back if both values are in RED.
