WDS conenction between DSL-2640B and ZyXEL
« on: October 28, 2017, 02:50:55 PM »

Hello,

I have two routers at home. One, which I use to connect to internet at the moment ZyXEL P-660HN-T1H, and the other one is a spare DSL-2640B rev:E1. None of both routers has enough range to cover whole house, so I wanted to connect them to each other wirelessly. I have done some digging and found that these two router have WDS functionality, therefore they can be conencted wirelessly.

The problem is that I cannot make them recognise each other. I have used this thread in this forum for DSL-2640B and this for ZyXEL. I tried both ways for D-Link router, as repeater and as AP. I just cannot figure it out.

Please help me on this. I really appreciate all the information.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think the DSL modem supports wireless bridging. The other configuration you could try is this:
Turning a router into an AP.
