Title: DIR-626L Setting QoS
Post by: Yugo on September 01, 2014, 06:13:42 PM
Hi there I'm quite a noob here and have no idea how to configure QoS.

Current network setup: Me with a computer, a notebook. My little brother constantly downloading things when I play.

What I want: I don't need to cut out my brother from internet, but maybe limit his downloads to not seing my gameplay experience degraded to curse out to lag.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

I recommend that you set up a rule for your devices using the multi PC example and set up a single PC rule for your brothers PC seen here:
Gaming and QoS for XBL (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42011.0)

Use 200 as a priority rule for the brothers PC, then use 128 or 50 as a priority for your gaming devices.

Let us know how the QoS rule setup goes...should help with the one PC hogging the bandwidth.

So far so good, haven't had the opportunity to hard test it but the guide was simple enough.
