Hide NAS using a VPN
« on: March 11, 2019, 04:28:25 PM »

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use my 320L to connect to a VPN so that its external IP address is hidden away.

I was stupid and thought by setting up ZeroTier/OpenVPN would be the solution for this.

Alas, it is not. Great to connect TO but not FROM the NAS.

Is there ANY possible way I can connect my 320 to a VPN? Hell, at this point I have VPN servers out the wazoo with the NAS running ZT and a Pi VPN, but I cannot figure out if it's possible to connect my Dlink NAS via a VPN. I'm at the end of my rope and have spent days and days trying to solve it.

Thanks in advance for the few who are still here.

Have you considered using something like a TP-Link TL-R600VPN which also acts as a firewall between your modem and switch/router.
