DGS 1100-16 VLAN CONFIGURATION
« on: June 29, 2019, 09:08:48 AM »

Hi,

i have a problem with vlan configuration in my dlink dgs 1100-16.
I have one d-link dap 2610 with 2 SSID. The first have the VLAN VPID 1 assignet by the DAP, instead the second have the VPID 22 assigned by the DAP.
The access point is connected in the port 15 of my switch.
I have one pc connected in the port 4 of my switch. the pc must be on the vlan with pid 1 (assigned by the switch).
the port 1 of my switch is connected to my firewall watchguard that receive packet both from vlan 1 and vlan 22.
I'm not able to configure the switch.

I need to create 2 vlan in the switch. the first with pid 1 assigned to the port 4. the second that received tagged packet (pid 1 and 22) from access point in the port 15 of the switch. all packet from port 1 comunciate with the firewall.
Anyone can help me ?
Thanks

Hi,

if enabled, set Port-based VLAN ("L2 Features > VLAN > Port-based VLAN") to disabled.
If enabled, set Asymmetric VLAN (L2 Features > VLAN > Asymmetric VLAN) to disabled.
VLAN 1 already exists by default. Use "L2 Features > VLAN > 802.1Q VLAN" to create/add VLAN 22.
Within "L2 Features > VLAN > VLAN Interface" (Edit):

Port 1 - firewall (Comment):
----------------------------
VLAN Mode:          Trunk
Acceptable Frame:   Tagged Only
Ingress Checking:   Enabled
Action:             Tagged
Allowed VLAN Range: 1,22

Port 15 - DAP:
--------------
VLAN Mode:          Trunk
Acceptable Frame:   Tagged Only
Ingress Checking:   Enabled
Action:             Tagged
Allowed VLAN Range: 1,22

Port 4 - PC:
------------
VLAN Mode:          Access
Acceptable Frame:   Untagged Only
Ingress Checking:   Enabled
VID(1-4094):        1

Comment:
Make sure that you configure the connected firewall port to use two sub-interfaces which send and receive ethernet frames tagged with VID 1 and 22 respectively.
