DSL-2750E problem in using mobile + IP camera via wifi
« on: June 09, 2016, 06:22:47 AM »

First, hope I am using the right place to raise my problem.

I have a DL 2750E for about 2 years now. It has served me well.

Recently I bought 2 IDEN IP cameras.

a. Cannot view the camera live scene while using my HTC Desire via DSL 2750E wifi.
b. Cannot select the camera setting icon via  HTC+2750E wifi.
c. But can view and go to setting while using dataline instead of wifi.
d. Was on holiday recently. Tried the hotel wifi to access my cameras. Bingo, I could see the live view and make setting changes while using the hotel wifi on my HTC.

Looks like it is my security setting on the 2750E which is blocking some of my access to the camera while on home wifi.

Appreciate advice on what are the changes I need to make so that I can have full access to the cameras while on home wifi through my DSL 2750E.

Many thanks.

P/S I have updated to the latest firmware.

Are the cameras wirelessly connected to the camera? How many cameras do you have connected?
What wireless modes are you using on the modem?

I would refer to the Cameras Mfr support web site and support information regarding this. They should have information on how to configure them.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, cameras are wirelessly connected wifi to my mobile via 2750E.

2 cameras so far. Both having the same problem as described earlier.

Wireless mode - WPA2 only.  TKIP+AES

I have tried with different options in the selection list, no success.

The camera salesman was at my place to set it up. He could communicate with the phone via his own wifi hotspot and dataline. Could not via my home wifi. Like I said earlier, OK when I used the hotel wifi. Strange. Configuration is done via dataline. But I need to use home wifi for accessing the cameras.

Any other things I can try?

Thanks.

What are the cameras and how do you access them through your phone?

Cameras are security cameras, IDEN brand.

The camera wifi setup is plug and play. Enter ID and password via mobile and give SSID for camera to have wifi access.

But hotel wifi OK, home wifi not ok to access the cameras. Why?

Is this through the iden mobile app?

Have you tried using local ip address when at home as a test?

Using Yoosee apps.

Sorry, don't understand "Have you tried using local ip address when at home as a test? "

Please clarify with a few simple steps and I will try them out.

Thanks.

I don't know if you had already solved your problem. I also have a Chinese WiFi camera running the Yoosee App.
To get it work with D-Link router, you may read the Yoosee FAQ webpage.

Gwell, the real solution provider declared the camera uses the RTSP protocol to broadcast video stream.

Sub-stream rtsp://IPadr:554/onvif2

Additionally, please check these ports with your router for troubleshooting.
