Man, this sucks.  Looks like they're following Comcast's and TWC's lead....

Yup, by this time next year I think most ISP's will be this way. We in the US have had it good for a while now, but this is the norm through out most of the world. Granted most of the world has a better infrastructure, but thats besides the point.

Another way of trying to get more money out of you. Really need for caps when only 2% of there customers actually go over? Wow. I would think there would be a need if that percentage was more, quite a bit more.  ::)

Those 2% are using like 40% of the bandwidth though. Think of it this way, if you use under the cap, then your speed may actually go up. Trust me, its not about money. Its about trying to make their network more effeciant. If your neighbor was using 20times the water as you, lowering your water pressure, and still got to pay the same water bill, would you enjoy that? Yet that is how he current system is. There 250 cap is comparably high too. Some caps are as low as 40-50GB. And I would MUCH rather have them charge the heavy users more then charge everyone more, or even worst, have them charge the content providers more, IE youtube and netflix.

Good point. Didn't think of it like that...ya. I guess same thing as making people who make a ton of money and making them pay more taxes. Like that will happen though.  ::)
