Title: SD card recording interval & Mass download
Post by: arrowgr on July 21, 2017, 10:38:48 AM
Hello! I'm a new user of a DCS-936L. I have gotten most of the way through setup and configuration, but the way that the SD card storage interface is set up has been causing me a lot of trouble. There are two things I need help with to get my system working properly.

1) How can I set the camera to only record images/video to the SD card on certain intervals? My camera is recording an image every second, but I only need or want an image once per minute or once every five minutes.

2) How can I download the images from the card without clicking through them with the web interface? The camera is difficult to access, so physically pulling out the sd card is not a good option. Since the camera is literally taking thousands of images every day, clicking each one is not an option either.  I could use a browser extension or script to download images by url, but I get 403-forbidden errors when i try to I paste in the link url (http://LOCALIP/cgi/admin/getSDFile.cgi?file=DATE_TIME.jpg&path=DCS-936L/DATE/HOUR/DATE_TIME.jpg) to the browser rather than clicking on it.

I have also tried both the python script and greasemonkey extension with no luck.

Thank you!

Look like this camera doesn't support what your asking. Has a limited selection of features that are set up for timing and capture. I see motion and sound detection settings are this:
Pre-event recording :   5 seconds  (Between 0 to 5 seconds)
Post-event recording :   5 seconds  (Between 0 to 60 seconds)

I'll see if I can get some help on getting files from the SD card. Not sure what is supported though.  ::)
