DCS-6113 - V1.20 firmware upgrade fails.
« on: July 01, 2014, 04:04:07 AM »

Trying to upgrade my DCS-6113 from V1.10 to V1.20 using the HTTP web interface.

I keep getting a 404 error when pressing the "update" button.

Firmware is here: http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Multimedia/DCS-6113/Firmware/

It fails to upload the PKG file and IE show a 404 error, Chrome shows a "connection reset" error.

Any ideas on how to get this firmware upgraded as motion detection is not working without version 1.20 to my DLink DNR-326 unit ??

I've also tried via the alternate port 8080 and via HTTPs..
The firmware zip file contains 2 firmware files: dcs6113_firmware_1_20.pkg and dcs6113_firmware_1_20_presets.pkg

Only the "Presets" one appears to upload.. and this bricks the camera, have to power cycle it to get it working again, waited about an hour before I powered it off.

any ideas on how to get version 1.20 onto the camera so I can use the motion detect with the DLink NVR ??

DLINK support is pretty much useless....

Had the same problems with mine....got the same errors when using internet explorer to upgrade the firmware.

Used Google Chrome to install the new firmware and it took just fine.  Safari or Firefox may work too, but I haven't tried those..
Good Luck

Tried all the browsers I could lay my hands on ....

Rang D-Link and they gave me an RMA for a replacement... now works fine.
