Title: New DNS-343 don't start - infinite loop
Post by: giuseppe on September 11, 2009, 11:11:25 AM
Hello,
I've a new DNS-343. I istalled the nas with 4 hard disk samsung 1 tr and I swich on the nas. There is a infinite loop: "system is booting", then D-Link logo and then "system restart!". These three steps are repeated ad infinitum.
I've tried to remove the hard-disk, one at a time, and also to replace the disks with a different one. The problem is the same.
The NAS is unrecognizable on the LAN.
Note: without any disk, the problem is the same too.
Thanks in advance for a response
giuseppe

p.s. sorry for my bad english

Hello,
anyone can tell me what happens if I turn on the DNS-343 without hard disk?
The NAS is started or maybe does what I described in previous post (D-Link logo-"system is booting"-"system restart!")?
This to understand if the problem is related to the disks or to the NAS.
Thanks in advance
giuseppe

If you start the DNS-343 without HDDs it should start normally.
Try to start the device and hardware reset it.
If it doesn't start then i would RMA the device.
