after you applied the update, did you do a factory reset before applying the config file? Are you using the default IP address for the router? some people change the default address.

So far so good with 1.22 with my rev A2 hardware.  Far fewer errors (20 times less) and zero wireless restarts, which were happening every 20 mins of Skype video call time before (using firmware 1.15).

So funny...

I have my system on 1.22...

I have multiple schedules as well as custom DNS settings on my Cable Modem...

The biggest challenge was the Log settings.  Once I set them back to Security & Firewall and Critical, basically no logging, I have had no trouble.

I have multiples of this router on customers. They have FW's of 1.13, 1.14 and 1.21 and none have any issues with the logging set as stated.

The system on 1.14 has an Xbox Live on it with no issues, wired by the way.

Yes this router is AFU if you leave the logging full on, start by setting it as I have and seeing what you get.  I am @ 28+ days on 1.22 here.  The last reboot was because of a system change I enacted, not by chance.

Good luck and PM me if you need to.

Corroded out...!

DLink recommends WPA2 only + AES for the wireless security settings. This may help with some of the errors.  I'm betting you've got interference from neighboring networks.  I still got excellent throughput on my 4500 even with gobs of errors, but it did impact Skype.  Didn't see any perceivable problems with Xbox, however.

there are 2 networks that I could pick up and I do use that security setup also.

Shayking: something's fishy about your log. With "heavy" use I'd expect the numbers above to be much higher. TX/RX packets should be in the millions.

It is working great for me too. router was up for 6 days+ without any restart required. The router usually requires restart (unable to access console or/and internet connect just goes down) in 1-2 days.

Good to hear, let us know if there is anything else going on. Hopefully not. Enjoy.

WISH can be disabled, it's for streaming video over slower connections. I have disabled mine since I have Cable and use Netflix over 360. Works great. No issues seen. WAN Partition prevents associated wireless clients from communicating with each other. This can be disabled as well. This is in my sticky about gaming and gamefuel as well. I've disabled mine. Also recommend disabling WiFi Protected setup if you don't need this. Is just a way of securely connecting printers and other enabled devices to the router securely over WiFi. If you don't have anything like this, then disable it.
