From what Tricky said and from what my modem is going, I guess my modem is bonding on a 10Mb connection. Again, probably ISP supported if they do. I get the solid blue light on the Receive.

I may get it anyways regardless of if it helps any. As of right now my net is being stupid. Something to do with the CMTS and CRCs, My connection going from 23mbps down to 5mbps all the time..It could be the modem router I have now or the cable line itself. Ive had 3 techs so far come out and still have yet to fix it

Well before you buy it make sure they have the firmware built for it or it won't work.

::Update:: Checked, looks like they are atleast running DOCSIS 2.0.

buy it local so if it doesn't work, you can get the refund easily. I got mine at radio shack and got a full refund on the 1st try. My ISP was on DOCSIS 2 and it wouldn't work.  >:(

Yea, I didnt mean to say that DOCSIS 2.0 mean it would work. Theres several parts to working with the modem. It needs to ATLEAST be DOCSIS 2.0 compatible and have a firmware built for the modem. Which from that posts, it WILL work.  That will only make it run like a SB510U though. Then you need to have channel bonding. Then you need support to spread bandwidth over those channels. And usually you get a whole bunch of other boosts to performance around then.

Chris you did fine. And Truukk, don't feel bad  that you didn't understand it. Somethings are just easy to do, but really hard to understand. At work, we played this game during training, where you tried to tell someone that knew nothing about cooking, how to make a PB&J sandwich. You think it would be easy, but it ends up a mess. I think it serves its purpose great, and people can always ask questions.

Oh dont get me wrong kudos to him for even doing it. Im pretty sure ill get it doing with ease when im actually looking at it on my laptop instead of just reading it and thinking about it. :p

That is really good news. Set it up and test it, do not add my rules right out of the box. You might want to test it out first see how it goes than add me rule and see if it did any improvements. Now I can officially welcome you to the forums! Congrats on your new DGL 4500!
