Title: Incoming VPN connection on Dlink dir-655
Post by: JaapWiggers on September 28, 2016, 12:40:53 AM
Dear members/guests,

Yesterday I've tried to set up a PPTP-VPN connection on the following configuration:

Cable Modem (Bridged Mode).
D-Link WAN: Static IP.
In Virtual Server:
Protocol Other 4 to let GRE pass through and
Port 1723 TCP to Local IP of a Synology NAS.

In the log of the D-Link attempts of the incoming connection were visible, but they were blocked.

For troubleshooting reasons I temporarily placed the local IP in the DMZ zone, but it didn't solve my problem.

Does anybody know if i've missed something !?!??

Greetings,

Jaap Wiggers
Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router. Besure to log into the Admin account on the router.
