Title: spontaneous internet LED orange blinking after 2 months of successful opertion
Post by: dny on November 13, 2019, 10:00:02 AM
The DAP-1650 set up easily and worked for two months to extend wireless from the DSL router downstairs to users upstairs.  This weekend, the internet LED light went from green to blink orange.

I read that blinking orange meant a "firmware upgrade was in progress" - I let that go on for about 24 hrs but no "green light".  The firmware version never changed from its original "3"

I updated the firmware through two steps to 1.04.  I've done cold boots of the DAP-1650.  Still the blinking light.

Internet is active.

Help please

Thank you for your reply.

If by "region"you mean what part of the world, I am in California.  Factory reset was not performed.

I cold booted the DSL modem/source of wireless signal that the DAP-1650 was extending.  This latter maneuver worked and now the DAP is repeating the signal just like it had been before it decided not o.  Next time I will do this first.

Good then a reboot may have been all that was needed then. Use the factory reset as a last resort.

Enjoy.
