DSM-520 and DNS-323
« on: October 20, 2008, 11:01:37 PM »

I'm using the DNS-323 as a media server for the DSM-520.  When i add a new movie file to the DNS-323, it sometimes does not show up in the folder view on the DSM until i reboot one, the other, or both.  Also, if an avi is moved, or renamed, the old name can be seen and selected in the DSM even though the file doesn't exist anymore.  After an indeterminable amount of time, all files eventually show up. UPnp is enabled on my router, and the NAS is configured as a media server too.  All video files eventually play when they finally show up in the lists, and all music music is fine too.  Any ideas on how i can get the DSM to ignore its cache and re-read the NAS when selected from the available servers list?

Thanks in advance.

On the DNS-323 UPnP AV media server make sure you refresh after adding new files. This will not be required to do in the next firmware update.
