Good, testing... With the new update released today so far I have not lost the Iqos settings. Coincidence?

Keep us updated. I will test this tonight at home myself to see how it performs.

Also giving this a try from firmware 1.10b07 (most stable for me). So far QoS is saving my changes and MyDlink is working! MyDlink would not work on 1.11Beta01. The big test will be SC vs iPhone's tonight, lol.

Thanks,

Ryan

Seems good for me as well on WiFi.

Check QoS settings in 3 days and see if you can still make changes.

Yes working well. I may put my 890L back online as main host router so I can help test this out fully.

Good would be if using the smart connection we could choose the radio channels. Some way?
Any way to suggest this to dlink?

Defeats the purpose of SC. It's supposed to handle channels automatically.  ::)

It seems that in the Smart connection the router makes sure to select the worst channel for my location.  :'( :'( :'(

There a lot of other wifi neighbors near by? How many are there?

almost 15 radios 2.4/5 ghz.

I am testing streaming chromecast 4k with Videostream, I am having some exaggerated bufferings but it is rash to say that the problem is coming from the router / firmware, I need to perform more tests on other releases and on other channels to be sure.

Ok, Ya might be a semi congested area.

Might try disabling SC and set up manual wifi configuration.

4K is high bandwidth usage. I had a hard time not buffering any when I was testing 1080p raw blue ray files a few years back on 1300Mb AC mode. Buffering will be problematic on wifi. Gb LAN is recommended for that if you want to stream heavy stuff.

Loaded this today from 1.09.

As you may recall from my other posts, I had issues with 1.10 and the earlier 1.11 firmware.  They would not play nice with Roku, chromecast audio and several mobile devices (mainly iOS).  Those devices would constantly disconnect and reconnect to the router.  I know several others had the same kind of luck and we all went back to 1.09 firmware.

Things were going well here with the 1.11 build2 beta until I tested Roku out.  A few minutes into a 1080p stream the device was booted.  I then set my transmission power to medium and so far so good!  I'm about 30 min into the movie on Roku.  All other devices are stable (regardless of transmission power).  I really want off the 1.09 firmware due to security issues.

Some items to note: I do not have a lot of other wireless traffic.  I live in an old orchard with one neighbor close enough for me to barely pick up their wireless signal from one side of my house (they are using the new google home wifi).  The old stability issues with other firmware happened when no one was in that house, so it wasn't a congestion issue.  Current settings beyond default are: new admin password, up/down speeds defined in QoS menu, guest zone on with password (internet only), and wireless transmission power lowered to medium.

I'll report back with results in a day or so.  Fingers crossed!
