Title: DGL-4100 one LED light seems not working.
Post by: jeffeyer on June 05, 2010, 09:48:17 PM
I am an Apple computer user (Mac OS 10.6.3).  I have a problem with my DGL-4100 router because there is no LED light on 4th port.  It is for my new Canon printer.  Actually, Apple's System Preferences cannot find a Canon's driver filename (?) on the list after I installed the software from the CD installation.

I believe that three of four LED lights are working.  Is there a way for me to find out whether the 4th LED is really working or not?

In a short, I am looking for a software that would allow us to see  each  port is working properly because many of us put our router in the basement and all the ethernet wires go upstairs.  It can be confusing for us go back and forth checking whether the ethernet wires and the router's LEDs are really working - or broken.  It is just tiresome for me -  you know the aware of one little cute thing into a big issue.

I am very surprised that the company does not have a Mac & IBM software for us as customers to test each port...

Off subject, I feel that the employees rather to read the newspaper instead of working.  I hope that this is not insult for me to say that.  If no solution, then I probably take it apart and use the green LEDs for my next Christmas tree lights for humor. ha ha.  Just kidding.  Keep up your cheerful business as well.
