This procedure was adopted by a number of D-link network camera owners to perform camera resets in the event the camera became unresponsive and inaccessible via the web interface or mydlink website. D-Link network owners who are away from from their home for a prolonged period of time find this procedure useful to ensure their camera(s) are always available and responsive.
Procedure
- Plug the D-Link network camera into a house timer
- Configure the house timer to briefly turn-off once a day
- This procedure will force the D-Link Network Camera to reboot once per day, resetting the camera in the event the camera becomes unresponsive to queries
