Title: DAP-2682 rejects "--" in a SSID
Post by: KiltedShane on May 05, 2022, 10:48:02 AM
We have a stack of DAP-2682 that we are trying to deploy but our global corporate SSID has "--" (dash dash) in the SSID and when you try to save a config page in the GUI it doesn't save.
I have a clunky workaround setting it up with a temporary SSID and then changing the SSID afterwards in the CLI.
I'm trying to save some time by just doing the setup in the CLI but with 4 SSIDs and 3 VLANs that is more than I want to dig through a CLI reference manual for (and if one exists for the DAP-2682 specifically, I can't find it.)
I would swear that there was a way to dump the config from a set up AP in the CLI, edit it for a new AP, and then upload it to the new one, but for the life of me, I can't find it.  I'm starting to thing I imagined it.
Does anyone have a lead on a DAP-268x CLI reference manual?
Does anyone know how to dump and edit the config?

Not sure if the config file is editable. Most config files I've worked with on D-Link products are binary now days and maybe encrypted though not sure about this. FW is encrypted.

Sounds like having two special characters may not be supported on the DAP side or in FW or D-Link didn't think that users would have two same special characters in the SSID name. Generally, most only use 1 special character.

I would reach out to D-Link support and see if they can give you help on this.

Are you using Nuclias? You should be able to distribute the same profile to multiple APs through the Nuclias Connect software.
