DNS-320L & WDTV
« on: December 03, 2012, 06:22:23 AM »

I'm having an intermittent issue with my D-Link DNS-320L and my WDTV Live Streaming Player.

After a period of time, it seems like unit drops the connection or user authentication. If you are playing a file, it will cause an interruption to playback which the WDTV can't resume from.  It can be varied the amount of time it takes, but when it does occur, the event log on the unit always give the following.

CIFS: [x.x.x.x] closed the connection to service [Volume_1].

I'm also getting this issue present itself on a number of my other PCs, but I haven't yet experienced an interruption in playback on my other devices.

So far, I've tried:
Using anonymous account
Using a user account created for myself
Created a used a account which is used only on the WDTV
Switched off all services except CIFS on the share
Switched off HDD Hibernation
I even changed the account inactivity timer, as a last ditch effort (Was clutching at straws at this point!)

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues or does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this. It can be quite frustrating at times.
