DLink Lite app is crashing when trying to access the cameras. My wife has the previous version iOS and now it's having issues for her too. Could it be the carrier settings again (T-Mobile)?
I deleted the app, rebooted my iPhone 6 and reinstalled/logged in again. Still experiencing the same problems. I have not been able to troubleshoot my wife's phone yet.
:(

Possibly that iOS 10.3 isn't supported as of yet.
Prior version should be working.
I'll ask and see if there is any known issues with 10.3

Thanks for responding quickly.
My wife's iPhone 6 on iOS 10.2.1 is working now.

Ok. I see the update on my 6sP as well. I'm on 10.2. Gonna hold off until I hear back from D-Link first I think.
Other than the MDL apps not working...how is 10.3 from your perspective? ???

They quickened some of the animations making it seem "snappier", and the new file system freed up about a good 1.8GB!

Kewl. May load it up. Will see if I get some info from D-Link. I presume that they are already aware and hopefully working on it. ::)

DaDr00,
Does it only crash when remotely viewing video? Does local work OK?

I will have to test at home - but currently it is remotely viewing on LTE (T-Mobile). I will be able to test a wireless network later this afternoon.

Looking at the cameras remote on WiFi works.

This has been sent to the D-Link techs for testing.
What cameras do you have and what version firmware are on the cameras? (Techs will need this info)

Hey daDr00,
Just updated my iphone on Tmobile as well and am having some problems connecting to one of the cameras I use, through the remote access.
Upon first updating to 10.3 I started up the My Dlink Lite app and went to view through remote, picked the camera and the screen turned completely black and sent me back to my phones home screen.
Then I tried to view another camera I use through MDL remote view and it was working.
Powered my phone off and on, now it just loops the loading icon and times out on remote view through MDL and I cant view either of the cameras through remote now. :o
We're Putting out a report to HQ currently. I'm gonna mess around with it more tomorrow and see if its behaving the same.
-
Thank you for the additional info. Let me know if I can be of any help as well. I haven't updated to 10.3 as of yet. I can if needed.
-
Just bumping this thread. I'm still having the same issue.
-
I presume they are still reviewing it. I haven't heard anything as of yet. Not sure if I should update or not. I'm holding off for now.

Still broken. :'(

D-Link is still reviewing this. It may take some time since most testing has worked without issues so far.
DaDr00,
Are you in the US? If yes have you contacted phone support? Can you PM me a case number if you did?

I am in the US, and no, I have not contacted phone support.
The last time we had the issue connecting over 4G/LTE I called twice. Both times were hour long + conversations that involved disconnecting the cameras from our account and hard resetting every camera ... that didn't solve the issue. That's when I came here and found that there was an on-going issue that was being addressed.

Might PM that case number to GreenBay42 if you still have that information.

I don't have that old case information, and the app still crashes on iOS 10.3.1 :-\
-
I finally installed 10.3 on my 6sP last weekend. The MDL app is working for me. No crashes
-
I am having similar problems:
If I try to log in via mydlink lite (on iPhone 5 / SE / 6s) or mydlink + (on iPad 3) i receive a timeout notification.
the mydlink home app works fine.
Using WLAN.
I am only able to access local cameras, but not remote.
Via 2G/3G/4G nothing is possible (which is obvious for local cameras...)
Is there any update of both apps on the horizon?
-
What cameras are you using?
What cell service are you using? ATT, Verizon or T-Mobile?
I get full functionality of my DCS-936L, 933L and 960L on my iPhone 6sP (iOS 10.3.1) on ATT.

I own DCS-932L, DCS-942L, DCS-935L, DCS-5010L
Cell Service is- T-Mobile and Vodafone (UK) - both do not work.
iOS is 10.3.1 on all devices
myDlink Lite is 3.7.1
DCS-935L via myDlink Home works fine
-
We did see some issues on T-mobile services here in the USA. I believe it was fixed. Not sure about the UK region.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Thank you for the fast reply - Unfortunately I already had contact with the regional support an up until now they don't have any answers for me.
I don't believe, that there is an issue with the cell service because the same problem exists via broadband / WLAN

What model modem and router are you using?
When you connect to your router that the cameras are connected to, can you access them/view video?

At Home I Use a AVM Fritz!Box 7490 (But it won't work on any WLAN)
Connected to the Router i can access the cameras local but not remote.
-
I presume this is your modem/router?
https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-7490/ (https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-7490/)
Do you use any other wifi router with this fritzbox or just this modem/router alone?

Yes - This is my router (Alone)
-
What wireless modes are you using on the modem?
What security modes are you using on the modem?
Is uPnP enabled on the modem and all cameras? Also make sure uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding enabled on ALL cameras?
-
Wireless Mode = 2.4GHz
Security = WPA2
uPnP = everywhere enabled
But I still believe that the mydlink lite / mydlink + app is faulty - Why?
-> I can access all cameras using my notebook at home or in every country via both WLAN and 3G/4G
-> I can access my DCS-935L / DCS-5010L via the myDlink Home App without any problems (my other cams are unfortunately not implemented)
-> The problem occurs via myDlink Lite / myDlink + regardless which provider I use
-> Everything went fine earlier
What have I done so far?
-> Resetted ALL cams to factory settings
-> Reinstalled the myDlink Lite / myDlink + App
-> Reconnected all cams to the network

Try this:
In one of the cameras, log in to it using a web browser. Go to SETUP > NETWORK and enable UPnP Port Forwarding. Change the 3 "external" ports to something like 2000, 2001, and 2002. Save Settings.
Close the mydlink lite app on your device. Turn off wi-fi and connect via 3g/4g (or go to another location so you are not connecting directly to your router). Launch mydlink app and see if you can connect to that camera. Let me know if this works.
-
UPnP Port forwarding enabled -> No change
Updated to iOS 10.3.2 -> No change :-(
-
Only thing I might suggest would be to take one of the cameras to a different location, friend, family and connect the camera on there system. You shouldn't have to register with the MDL service. Just see if it will connect at a different location then test the app on cell service. I presume this maybe either a MDL or cell service issue maybe. ???

Done: Same result =
Access using myDlink Lite / myDlink + via local cameras possible, remote impossible :-(
Access using myDlink via PC / Notebook possible as always.
-
Something you need to phone connect with D-Link support on. Reference this forum thread as well...
