DGL 4500. Will Not Save Any Settings.
« on: July 08, 2010, 06:58:57 AM »

Hello.  I have this DGL 4500 and its given headaches with wireless. So I downgraded.

To 1.15. And that fix alot wireless issues.

The bigger issue now is that it will not save any type of settings i.e. Dns parameters or firewall changes.

I realize I can't rma plus I don't have the original box or receipt anyway.

So please help me.

Also I using a Different Router to handle wireless now.

Yes I notice that sometimes the 4500 will not accept settings and save changed. Back up the current configuration, reset or use default factory settings then re-apply the saved configuration file seems to fix this.

I have found "sometimes" the configuration isn't compatible if it has settings for a feature that is no longer included in the firmware downgrade. Try Furry's suggestion, and if that doesn't work, just reset to factory and reset it it up.
