Thanks anyway.   Hope that D-Link could review the revamped configuration UI of 880L from the content of older UI.  Another thing I missed is the wireless status screen that indicates the speed and signal strength of connecting devices which is not present in 880L's UI.  Here you know which one you need to relocate the device for stronger signal and better speed.

Most of the time you can use InSSIDer app to help with connection rates and check status.

They removed the wireless status with the DGL-5500 and this new UI. I don't know if they will be bring it back since users can use other wifi status apps. We did ask about bring it back. Nothing was said about it. Ya It was nice to have on the older routers.

in SSider will only work on smartphones, PCs and tablets.  But IP cameras, LED TV and other IP appliances can't know how strong and speedrate of their connection so it is better to place it in the access points/wifi router.  Actually my colleagues in Singapore and Guam were surprised when I bought for them 880L units and saw the new UI with limited settings and functionalities, compared from older routers.  Asus and Netgear have been adding sophisticated tools and settings in their new AC routers so I hope that D-Link at least restore the previous configuration and monitoring screens.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
