After disabling ABE, the manual Download and Upload entry boxes are not accurate. I have a 50/2 Mbps connection. I enter 50/2 into those boxes and run a speed test: I get 40/2. I hit "Test Bandwidth" and it gives me results around 50/2. For the hell of it I put 60/3 in those boxes and run a speedtest.net: I get my proper 50/2 Mbps.

DDNS was added in v1.10NA.

Setup Suggestions:

• Setup the router with out using any IP reservations initially. Let the router handle any DHCP IP address reservations. I've noticed that the router handles better if not using any reservations initially. If you use any Filters or options that need reservations, then use reservations for IPs.
• For 2.4Ghz operation, depending if you only use devices on N mode only, disable HT20/40 Co-existence. If you need mixed modes then keep this enabled.
• Update: Dec 09, 2013 - D-Link has assured me that leaving SB and ABE with there detected ISP speed values does not impact any other speed testing. As of late, the speed results on the router have been correct in values when SB and ABE are used. However I noticed there was a slight difference when testing with other Speed testing sites like Speedtest.net. Only a slight drop in speed different from what was detected on the router. D-Link says that this is normal and does not impact or should not impact actual speeds and performances of devices connected to the router. There is a slight fudge factor built in to the SB system.  If you are still concerned about this, you can continue here> We are noticing that initial Streamboost Down and UP manual values are set to 100.00 and 10.00, Other users and my self have left these values alone and gone back in after ABE completed it's speed testing and reported bad or wrong values, set these values back to the defaults for both, saved settings, re-enabled ABE, saved settings and reboot. Speed test results on the Internet should now report near or spot on correct values for the ISP speeds Down and Up. I recommend leaving or manually setting the default values before or after the router completes it's speed test!

Update 06/25/2014: v1.12 B05

Over a 4 hour period after loading code and doing a factory reset. I notice that SB's behavior is testing out several external speed testing sites to gain a good overall calculation for ISP speeds and then will automatically update the SB and ABE settings. After my initial test with in 15 minutes, the SB speeds were a bit lower than expected. (40/2.) After leaving the router alone for a while and after playing about an hours worth of Xbox, I came back about 4 hours later and reviewed the router settings. I notice that my full ISP speeds UP and Down had been updated, 50/3 for my ISP. I checked again this morning remotely from work at about 12 hours later and the full ISP speeds are still set in SB and ABE.  Looking good here.


I confirmed this is new behavior for SB with D-Link and I recommend that users give some time to let the SB fully do it's testing and complete with out any major connections going on before resuming normal router and client side operations. Let the router test and gain accurate tests results and settle in. After mine completed and settled in, router is working well at this time for me.  SB is dynamically testing sites for speed tests now to gain the best or overall speeds for the router to use.
