2.11 firmware date stamp incorrect
« on: March 22, 2016, 05:16:00 AM »

it seems that there's something wrong with the date-stamp: the download site addresses the date febr. 5th 2016. After installation I get this feedback :

Current Firmware Information
Firmware Version 2.11_WW
Firmware Date Fri Nov 6 10:50:40 2015

Is this the correct firmware?

Yes. The Nov date is actual build date at development time. Feb is when they released it to the web.

there still appears to be something wrong. I'm keep getting notifications for a newer firmware nr. 2.11, which already is installed. Also since the update to 2.11 radio-streams stops after exactly 30 minutes.

I would try and manually reload the FW using the following:
Link> >FW Update Process
Set up the router from scratch after doing the last factory reset.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

What wireless modes are you using?
  • Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
  • Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.

Sorry for the late response, tried everything, including a recent factory reset with clean latest firmware and the behavior still exists. :(

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
