Connecting laptop to wireless network
« on: September 08, 2010, 12:40:33 PM »

I have setup my DLink DIR601 router and can connect wirelessly with one laptop.  But I don't remember what I had to do to get the laptop to connect.

I have a second laptop that I want to connect.  It says it connects to the network and I can access the router at 192.168.0.1.  But I can't connect to the "real world" - an external website.

Any idea what I am doing wrong - or can you give me directions on how to setup the laptop to connect to the internet?

Thanks
Rae

I checked with a network guy at work.  He suggested the following, which worked for me:
go to settings -  internet options – connections – Lan Setting and changing your proxy.  No options should be checked.
