Title: DIR-655 #B1 Version - Downloading .Bin Files
Post by: thecreator on January 12, 2011, 07:13:29 AM
Hi All, who use the DIR-655 #B1 Version,

Can anyone download the Kindle .Bin Files from this Web-Page?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_top_kindle6i?nodeId=200529740 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_top_kindle6i?nodeId=200529740)

Does not matter which version you choose for the test download! Always never finishes with the above version.

What setting(s) need(s) to be tweaked to allow it to go through? I tried from two Computers on the Network and either one worked.

Thanks in advance!

Note: Works fine with DIR-655 #A3 Version, not with the DIR-655 #B1 version.

I don't think there is a setting on the router that you can change. If the file is not being fully downloaded or if it is, there could be something on your PC that is recognizing this as a possible external executable file (malware or virus) and is taking preventative steps to stop it prematurely. Check for Anti Virus or software Firewall setting. Might temporarily disable these while you download then re-enable them after.
