Speed Issue
« on: April 08, 2010, 12:33:07 PM »

I just purchased a DIR-655 together with DWA-131.
The box of DWA-131 clearly stated transfers at speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
I have done the suggustion from the sticky post regarding setting the router to WPA2, AES and 20/40Auto. But the max rate I see from DIR-655 wireless status is only 135Mbps and sometime it falls to 54Mbps. (they are in close range and the singal is around 90%)
Is that any trick for fine tune the device or did Dlink printed the speed rate wrong on the box as this forum fall into wireless 150 section?

I'm running Win7 with the latest driver.

Hi!

I got the same problem.
I use DIR-615 router (firmware 4.0)and a DWA-131 adapter (driver 1.2), Windows 7 (x86)
I got 80% of signal.
Settings: only WPA2, AES and 20/40, Auto.
The RX sign in the D-link Manager jumps between 40-120 Mbps.

You got the solution?

Thx!
